Kurt Anhder talks about the history of Richmond, some details about the historic barn on his property, and information about other barns in the area. The house and barn were originally built by the Fullers. The house was built in 1908 and the barn between 1920 and 1930. He says that a barn with a cement silo was probably not built any later than this. His barn has tongue and groove construction and wooden pegs. He thinks it was originally used as a horse barn and it has a tack room. Animals used to graze under the west side of the barn because the shape of the landscape allowed a space under there. Unfortunately, the sound of the recording is very bad, and it is hard to hear.

Jennifer Hines and Pete Schropp own an historic farm in Richmond, Utah. They have been working for several years to get to the point of production of farmstead cheeses. Here, Jennifer tells a little about the evolUtahion of their idea, the history of the farm, and the progress on their goals. At the end of the tape there is also some conversation with Pete that was recorded prior to this interview while Ron and Lisa Duskin-Geode visited with him on his farm.

Cache Valley Mills in Richmond, Utah. Constructed and originally operated by Goudy Hogan and M. W. Merrill. The mill sold flour under the brand name "Gilt Edge." Also known as Muddy Mill on Cub River between Richmond and Lewiston.

Included in this account is the immigration of the Hogan family from Norway to America, their conversion to Mormonism while in America, the death of Joseph Smith, settling the Utah territory,frontier life in Cache Valley and southern Utah, experience with the Gold Rush in California, polygamous marriages, experimenting with the United Order in Orderville, service in the Mormon church hierarchy, and mission accounts in Norway. At the end of this account are two biographical sketches of Knud Chrestensen Nelson and Karen Margrette Chrestensen. A copy of this account as well as the Knud Chrestensen Nelson and Karen Margrette Chrestensen accounts are also available individually in this collection. This copy is in volume 3 of the Joel E. This Autobiography of Angus Taylor Wright is a transcription made from the holograph manuscript in the possession of Mr. Wright's daughter, Mrs. Robert W. Griffiths, Logan, Utah, by Utah State University Library, Special Collections, March 7, 1969. Angus Taylor Wright was born July 24, 1856 to William H. and Emma Taylor Wright in Philadelphia, Pa., crossed the plains and settled in Richmond, Cache County, Utah in 1860, moved to Ogden, Utah in 1873, was a businessman, held various municipal and LDS Church positions, served 2 church missions in New Zealand, as missionary and mission president, and died May 20, 1928 in Ogden, Utah.
