Small antique manuscript in Sanskrit of approximately 300 folios with painted miniatures inserted throughout. The manuscript has been identified as containing the Bhagavad Gita. There are 7 separately foliated sections in the book, most of which open with decorated two-page spreads. Several painted miniatures illustrating incarnations of Vishnu have been inserted throughout. The text is in Sanskrit (Devanagari script) with a distinctive heavy, but very regular hand; similar manuscripts displaying near-identical hands have been identified as probably originating in Kashmir and dating to sometime in the 19th century.
